Root Shoot Malting is a 5th-generation family farm and estate malthouse dedicated to supplying barley, wheat, rye, oats, and non-GMO corn to craft brewers and distillers, located in Loveland, Colorado.

They had an existing brand, but needed help applying that brand into other areas, starting with their delivery truck.

We initially worked together in 2019, creating a dynamic design that was then applied to brochures and other print pieces. After 7 years, as expected, their truck designs were showing natural wear an tear. With new photography and a “let’s refresh this” request, we created a new design.

Out in the wild…

We saw the opportunity of the delivery truck becoming a moving billboard, using it not only for brand brand awareness, but also as a lead generation tool.

Environmental graphics: Delivery truck graphics.
Expansion of the brand system: the designs created for this project were later applied to brochures and other print collateral created by the Root Shoot Malting, creating brand consistency.

2019 Designs

The original Root Shoot Malting delivery truck was designed in 2019. This design was incredibly successful at helping them grow brand awareness and some of the elements (patterns and triangle graphics) were even translated and reused for print pieces, suck as brochures and flyers.

In the original design, both sides of the truck were a mirror of each other.
